We have been living in our apartment for many years. Recently, we bought a dog for our kids. It was nice to have a new addition to our family but it seems like management at the apartment complex did not approve of pets living there. So unfortunately, we had to move out of our apartment or get rid of the dog. Seeing how our kids really loved the dog, we decided to move out and find pet friendly apartments for rent instead.
We started our search online since that was the easiest way to look for apartments. You could also check with realty offices since many of them also manage properties nowadays. There are many apartment finding websites out there. We basically just searched for apartments that allowed pets. If they did not allow pets, then we didn’t bother with them. At the same time, we still needed to find a place that was zoned for good schools and also close to my job. After much searching, we found an apartment that was pet friendly and was in a good area. We called up the complex to see if they had any availability which they did. We were really excited at this point.
We drove to the apartment complex to see exactly what type of environment it was. We saw a lot of residents walking there dogs around the complex. It seemed like a very outgoing community. We could tell the community was very pet friendly because there were trash bags around the apartment complex so that residents can pick up after their pets. We talked to some of the residents and asked them how they felt about the community. They said that they really liked it because pets are always welcome there. After getting some positive feedback, we went ahead and signed the lease. I think our family would be very happy live there.
